Adecco is assisting a local client in New Haven County by recruiting for an Accountant. This opportunity is a direct hire role and paying a salary of $65,000-$75,000/yr depending on experience. This is a full Time Position: Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. This role will report directly to the Finance Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs accurate general ledger accounting and financial reporting.

  • Weekly and month end reconciliation of the Bank Accounts the general ledger.

  • Assist in the preparation of the month end financial statements, forecast, and annual budget.

  • Maintaining accurate fixed asset and depreciation records.

  • Performing analysis as required for the month end closing process.

  • Assist the annual audit and tax return preparations.

  • Filing of monthly sales and use tax returns.

  • Preparation of Property Tax returns.

  • Assists with closing activities.

  • Prepares journal entries for accounts.

  • Reviews and reconciles general ledger accounts, analyzes variances.

  • Investigates and resolves outstanding items.

  • In charge of AR collections for past due accounts.

  • Projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance.

  • 3 - 5 years experience in a staff accounting role with general ledger responsibilities.

  • High proficiency in excel

  • Must have a team mindset, able to work well with colleagues; approachable, helpful, and cooperative.

Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
