Adecco is assisting a local client in New Haven County by recruiting for an Accountant. This opportunity is a direct hire role and paying a salary of $65,000-$75,000/yr depending on experience. This is a full Time Position: Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. This role will report directly to the Finance Director.
Responsibilities:
Performs accurate general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
Weekly and month end reconciliation of the Bank Accounts the general ledger.
Assist in the preparation of the month end financial statements, forecast, and annual budget.
Maintaining accurate fixed asset and depreciation records.
Performing analysis as required for the month end closing process.
Assist the annual audit and tax return preparations.
Filing of monthly sales and use tax returns.
Preparation of Property Tax returns.
Assists with closing activities.
Prepares journal entries for accounts.
Reviews and reconciles general ledger accounts, analyzes variances.
Investigates and resolves outstanding items.
In charge of AR collections for past due accounts.
Projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance.
3 - 5 years experience in a staff accounting role with general ledger responsibilities.
High proficiency in excel
Must have a team mindset, able to work well with colleagues; approachable, helpful, and cooperative.

Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
