Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the Real Estate - Developers industry. Located in Walnut, California, this role involves the management of investment accounts, accounts payable, and month-end close processes.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee investment accounts to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations.
• Handle accounts payable duties, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and vendor communication.
• Execute month-end close procedures, including account reconciliation and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to improve financial processes.
• Analyze financial data and create reports for management decision-making.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes.
• Address and resolve inquiries and issues related to accounts and transactions.
• Maintain confidentiality of all financial data.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize service quality. Requirements
• Must have at least 3 years of experience in an Accountant role, preferably within the Real Estate Development industry
• Proficient with Investment Accounts
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Must have experience with Month End Close procedures
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Familiarity with accounting software systems
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
• CPA certification is preferred but not required.
