Need 8 full time, temporary, seasonal Carpenter Helpers to work at locations in Redwood, Chippewa, Lyon, Renville, Yellow Medicine, Cottonwood, Brown, Lincoln, Jackson, Kandiyohi, Mower, and Jackson Counties in Minnesota. From: 03/01/2024 to 12/21/2024 Work: 45 hrs./week, Mon. - Fri. 9 hrs./day, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Applicants may be offered higher than the advertised wage rate due to experience and/or merit. OVERTIME: As required in Minnesota, all hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Must Apply By: 07/27/2024 JOB DESCRIPTION: On farms, assisting team leads with building, maintaining, and repairing livestock buildings. Workers will help by carrying tools, and wood, making simple cuts, nailing simple pieces, assembling building components for team leads, and cleaning up job sites. JOB REQUIREMENTS: One month of livestock equipment installation/repair experience required. Must be able to lift and carry 75lbs for 75yds. Able to perform work that requires exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing, pulling, walking, frequent stooping or bending over, and repetitive movements. No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $14.00 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
