Army Tank-Automotive and Armament Command (TACOM) Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist in Warren, Michigan

About the Position: You will serve as a Division Chief over multiple supply chain first- and second-line supervisors in Army Materiel Command (AMC). The Division Chief leads multiple supply chain workgroups toward organizational goals by developing objectives, assigning work, tracking progress, and overseeing outputs of their employees. Responsibilities Directs a workforce engaged in supply chain planning and execution. Observes the operations of subordinate supervisors and workgroups through written or oral reports, correspondence review, consultation with supervisors, and personal observation. Analyzes executive information to make decisions and achieve organizational objectives. Exercises delegated managerial authority to set a series of annual, multiyear, or similar types of long-range work plans and schedules for in-service or contracted work. Specialized Experience: In order to qualify for this position based on experience your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience in the Federal Service at the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) grade level which includes: 1) Performing duties associated with supply support; 2) Applying enterprise resource planning tools and their utility in supply support; 3) Delegating work load to individuals and analyzing and prioritizing that workload; 4) Working with multiple organizations to achieve a common goal and working with multiple organizations/individuals simultaneously to achieve results; AND 5) Communicating and discussing ideas, concepts, topics and provide recommendations to a variety of audiences. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service NH-03 (or GS-13 equivalent). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Budget Administration Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Planning Leadership Oral Communication Project Management Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. Selectees must meet the position requirements for certification at Level 3 (Advanced) in Life Cycle Logistics within 48 months of entrance on duty.
