The Role

The Global Demand Planner is part of the S&OP team in the Supply Chain department and is responsible for forecasting sales volumes for the Printers and Spare Parts lines of business. The forecast is the central driver of the global supply chain planning process, triggering procurement of material components in the suppliers base and the planning of production across worldwide plants.

What you’ll do:

  • Produce a full monthly forecast by Product families on a monthly basis for a horizon of 12-24 months

  • Develop and maintain semi-automated forecasting models and tools in Excel

  • Calculate statistical forecasts that act as a baseline for the monthly Demand Planning process

  • Communicate with Worldwide Sales and Marketing teams to enrich the baseline forecasts with markets elements that are likely to affect the demand level

  • Run monthly Demand Reviews with local leadership teams

  • Closely liaise with Marketing and Product Divisions to incorporate phase ins and phase outs in the forecast

  • Gather, analyze and use all demand related data to include in the forecasts, like order book levels, bookings, sales opportunities, etc.

  • Present and explain forecasts at various levels of details to Senior Leadership as part of the monthly S&OP process, including variances with Financial Forecasts (Budgets and Mid-year Re-Forecasts)

  • Provide forecasts on an ad hoc basis when there are Last Time Buys for specific components with a certain supplier

  • Maintain forecast related SAP master data, like product Groups/Families

    What you need to have:

  • University degree in a numerical subject (Business, Economics, Engineering, Science)

  • 5 years’ experience in a Supply Chain Planning role in an international manufacturing company and multi-sites context

  • Deep knowledge of MRP dynamics, inventory management and Bill of Materials concept

  • Strong Excel and data processing skills, including proven track of designing planning models and tools from scratch.

  • Databases querying skills, Power query or Access knowledge a strong plus

  • ERP knowledge, SAP preferred

  • APICS or IBF certifications a strong plus

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills. Capable to present ideas and findings in a clear way, with the ability to see the big picture and dig into the detail

  • Good communication skills with various levels of seniority, including VP level

  • Independent, pragmatic and solutions orientated

  • English fluent required
