JOB SUMMARY

Sheraton Grand Warsaw is seeking a Marketing Specialist to support the Director of Marketing in driving various marketing activities and activations for rooms and food and beverage for a leading hotel in the heart of Warsaw.

The successful applicant will assist in the development and execution of strategic marketing plans and supporting social media calendars across all platforms creating synergies with the hotel website, digital marketing plans and promotions. They will Manage the day-to-day activities for social media channels, encouraging positive engagement across all segments. Working with the Director of Marketing and Digital Field Marketing Services EMEA they will highlight and help activate targeted marketing opportunities to create awareness and generate revenue.

A candidate, who is creative, inquisitive and is somewhat forward-thinking in their nature, is key to this role. Participate in conversations to build brand visibility, customer satisfaction and support marketing and digital initiatives. Good organisational and administrative skills are essential to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. A good understanding of content marketing strategies and of how leverage on digital channels is essential. This role may be asked to perform general administrative duties to support the hotel teams e.g., email marketing, maintaining sufficient stock of promotional items and brochures, marketing support for sales teams such as sales focus weeks, audit completion, site inspection preparation, business opportunity research, etc. This role will be required to working in partnership with the operational teams to help drive on brand property guest experience.

Candidate Profile

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS

Within the confines of the hotel’s marketing budget and business requirements, this position will be responsible for developing and activating innovative marketing and communications initiatives which will improve key financial and customer metrics for the hotels and their venues.

  • Fulfill a marketing expert role within the hotels: Analyze the hotels’ competitive strengths / USPs, develop hotel positioning and communicate core consumer messaging that clearly differentiates the hotel from its competitors.

  • Direct and support needs of the market and property to ensure maximization of all channels in collaboration with the Digital Field Marketing team.

  • Develop a content-led marketing plan and integrate across key channels to communicate hotel positioning and brand passions to target audience. This includes photography, video, copywriting, and other forms of storytelling content, ensuring delivery in adherence with brand guidelines and hotel positioning.

  • Develop a Social Media strategy that has brand and hotel positioning, content marketing and optimized budget as a key priority.

  • Drive cross-selling marketing initiatives in collaboration with external Food and Beverage operator and partner.

  • Drive brand activation and ensure the brand experience comes alive through the hotel’s messaging and guest experience.

  • Develop and deliver tactical marketing campaigns across all segments and in line with business needs, including cooperation with Sales, Revenue and Digital team that represent strategic opportunities for the hotel and its venues.

  • Manage marketing budget and deliver targeted activations with identifiable tracking and ROI mechanics implemented and always reported.

  • Pro-actively identify and manage relevant marketing partners to raise hotel awareness, drive demand, deepen loyalty, and enrich brand experience.

  • Pro-actively seek opportunities to represent the hotel in coordination with the hotel management team in community and industry organizations and events, always mindful of events that might be relevant for hosting at one of the hotel’s venues.

  • Focus on increasing engagement with local Marriott Bonvoy through the organization of events and enhancing guest experience with Elite Members on property.

  • Support sales team with the creation of marketing collateral and tactical promotion associated with the key market segments, (e.g. Groups, Weddings, Suites)

  • Ensure full compliance with all Marriott Hotels and Marriott Bonvoy brand marketing standards & programmes.

ADDITIONAL FUINCTIONS

In addition to the essential functions above, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following functions:

  • Provide constructive feedback to all departments, specifically in relation to the repositioning of the Restaurants/Bars and Brand Activation efforts across all departments.

  • Be a leader and role model to all associates.

Develop monthly/quarterly updates and wrap-up reports to hotel and regional team highlighting the different marketing activities.

PROFESSIONAL ATTRIBUTES, SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

  • BA graduate with strong preference for degree specialized in marketing.

  • Any experience in the tourism or hotel industry is a strong advantage but not required.

  • Excellent command of the English and Polish languages - both written & spoken.

  • Have strong project management skills with the ability to connect with many different stakeholders both internally and externally.

  • A natural and proven ability with social media, especially Facebook, Instagram

  • Superior analytical skills required as well as knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word.

  • Strong communication and presentational skills.

  • Desire to set best practices and share successful initiatives with other hotels within the company.
