The Position

The Clinical Demand Specialist will play a key role in the Specialty Diagnostics Group (SDG) Poland Team developing Procalcitonin (PCT) License Partner business as well as our Kryptor instrument business with distributors and end-user customers.

The position will drive and own Clinical Demand activities principally for PCT (Procalcitonin) and PNS (Prenatal Screening) to drive demand for the tests on our license partner and own Kryptor instruments in clinical laboratories in the territory. In addition, this position will support our Biomarkers distributors and end user laboratory customers from a technical sales perspective.

Key responsibilities include, but are not exclusively:

  • Develop regional strategy for the Biomarker business growth and nurture close business relationship with the PCT license partners and BMK distributors. Develop with them a targeted customer acquisition plan for PCT, PNS and the other biomarker business, namely novel cardiac and tumour markers, based on the analysis of the hospital & healthcare financing structure in Poland.

  • This will include driving congress activities, workshops and roadshows and working with and identifying speakers and KOL’s.

  • Regular liaison with key customers (doctors in charge of hospital departments, key customers in the different medical societies and hospital administrations).

  • The position will spend approximately 60% time in the field and will work in conjunction and agreement with Commercial and Marketing Management team, and develop marketing activity plans and AOP targets to meet growth expectations.

  • Drive business growth through direct License Partner relationships and thereby increase revenue and market share.

  • Survey and provide regular feedback on local market trends, competitive activity and legislation, regulatory changes, etc.

  • Requirements: • Degree in Biochemistry or Biomedical sciences• Background and work experience in clinical or commercial medical laboratories• Experience in international commercial sales/ marketing/distribution experience in the area of diagnostics, pharmaceuticals or medical devices• Ability to travel: 50% to 70%• Excellent communication and presentation skills• Ability to display credibility in mentoring and forging positive working relationships with customers, distributors and colleagues. Competencies: • Self-motivated with a bias for action• Effective interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills.• Strong eye for business and a proven ability to develop and maintain professional and personal relationships with KOL’s, customers and business partners positively impacting business growth.• Proficiency in English is critical.
