The Role

The Business Analyst provides support to CIO teams as they move through the CIO’s Business Investment and Architecture Review processes including the development of a business case, assessment of capability, and modeling of business process. The Business Analyst works under the guidance and direction of the Business Case Architect, the Business Capability Architect, and the Business Process Architect, and support each workstream with the development and maintenance of the business architecture artifacts and processes. The Business Analyst also communicates and coordinates with the relevant stakeholders and users to gather and validate the business requirements and feedback.

Responsibilities

Operational Support:

  • Support CIO teams with the development and presentation of the Business Case with defined problem statements and requirements

  • Support CIO teams with the use of the capability taxonomy to complete Trade Studies, following a value-based approach

  • Support CIO teams with design and documentation of the target state processes, following the business process modeling and management taxonomy, hierarchy, and standards

  • Use the LeanIX and Signavio tools to create or update capability, application, or process models and fact sheets

  • Communicate and coordinate with the relevant stakeholders and users to gather and validate the business requirements and feedback

Who You Are

You’re good at what you do and possess the required experience to prove it. However, equally as important – you have a growth mindset; keen to drive your own personal and professional development. Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field

  • 2+ years of experience in business analysis, business architecture, or IT project management

  • Basic knowledge of business architecture principles and frameworks, such as business case, capability, and process

  • Basic knowledge of business architecture tools and methodologies, such as LeanIX, Signavio, etc.

  • Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with standard enterprise processes in large enterprises (ie. Hire to Retire, Record to Report)
