Description:

A Painting Foreman oversees various aspects of painting projects, ensuring they run smoothly and meet quality standards. Here are the key responsibilities of a Painting Foreman. The Foreman performs and coordinates the preparation and application of exterior and interior finishes in a residential and light commercial setting. You must have experience as a residential or commercial painter and have a positive attitude.

  1. Surface Preparation: The Foreman supervises the preparation of surfaces for painting. This involves ensuring that surfaces are clean, smooth, and ready for paint application1.

  2. Task Assignment: They assign specific painting tasks to team members, clearly detailing the scope of work and expected outcomes and timeline for each project1.

  3. Quality Control: The Foreman monitors the quality of painting work performed by the team. If necessary, they provide immediate feedback and corrective guidance to maintain high standards.

  4. Equipment Maintenance: They oversee the maintenance of painting equipment on job sites.

  5. Client Interaction: The Foreman discusses project requirements with clients and ensures that work aligns with their expectations.

  6. Safety Compliance: Ensuring safety guidelines are followed during the painting process is a crucial responsibility.

  7. Record Keeping: The Foreman maintains records related to project progress and completion.

  8. Self-Performing and Experienced

Skills:

• Arrives on time & Assesses job scope with Production Manager

• Manages crew and sets the workflow.

• Prepares wall surfaces and paints them as directed.

• Executes on-site job requirements.

• Determines and clearly identifies proper materials and material quantities for new and existing projects.

• Serves as liason between Project Manager and crew, answers questions to the best of his/her ability.

• Ensures job site is completely clean after each job is completed.
