Hines Assistant Facilities Manager - Culinary (Hines@Facebook) in Washington, District Of Columbia

As an Assistant Facilities Manager - Culinary with Hines, you will be responsible for the management of kitchen operations and maintenance on behalf of the client, while maintaining the highest level of customer service. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the client’s commercial kitchen equipment and building systems supporting this equipment at multiple sites

  • Perform onsite kitchen inspections at multiple sites, while documenting and tracking deficiencies through completion

  • Achieve cost savings through maximizing utilization of suppliers, preferred vendors/contractors and identifying additional efficiencies

  • Manage vendor relationship while coordinating equipment repairs and maintenance

  • Develop proactive operations programs and recommend appropriate engineering support functions

  • Establish and implement procedures for prompt and courteous response to all employee generated mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting or other technical issues

  • Participate in after hours on-call rotation for facilities emergencies

  • Provide information and direct input for major fiscal activities, including budget preparation, financial planning, and variance analysis

  • Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisors

Minimum Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

  • Three or more years of experience in facilities or management support position

  • Working knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment, and Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing systems is preferred

  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills

  • Strong computer skills in Word, Outlook, Excel, or other facility management systems

  • Set appropriate priorities and meet deadlines

  • Apply principles of rational systems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

  • Possess initiative to assume additional responsibilities
