TEKsystems Congressional Relations Representative in Washington, District Of Columbia

Description

Reviews inquiries received from Congressional offices and other priority avenues for correspondence, to include the White House, VA leadership and the VA Office of Congressional and Legislative Affairs (OCLA), DOD/DHA leadership and the DOD Office of Congressional and Legislative Affairs (OCLA), research and compiles facts, tracks progress, and develops timely written responses to priority correspondence received by the Congressional Relations department. Interfaces with Congressional staffers, Veterans, providers, VA and DOD staff at all levels and internal staff to resolve priority correspondence on TriWest’s VA and DOD contracts

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Communications, Social Work or related field.

• U.S. Citizen

• Must be able to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation.

• One year’s experience in Government and/or Congressional Relations at the Federal or state level.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

• Experience with/knowledge of the VA CCN program, DOD TRICARE program, healthcare, or military

The pay range for this position is $45164.00 - $61335.00/yr.
