Small Business Administration Deputy Director (HUBZone Program) in Washington, District Of Columbia

Summary This is a non-bargaining unit position. This is not a (drug) testing designated position (TDP). This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Government Contract Business Development - HQ in Washington, DC. You will provide leadership, planning, project coordination and technical guidance to staff and recommend, formulate and implement policy, procedures and guidance in close coordination and collaboration with the Director of Hubzone Program. Responsibilities Provides advice, guidance, and administrative control for the team and assigned members through counseling or instruction on team initiatives and priorities. Designs, develops and implements GBCD's key program(s) in accordance with statutory authority and regulatory provisions. Responsible for setting and attainment of long- and short- term programmatic goals and objectives, day to day-to-day program management, and program monitoring and evaluation. Makes final determination of eligibility for certification of firms as qualified small business concerns. Provides technical assistance, guidance, training, and support to field offices to insure program effectiveness and compliance with relevant statutes, regulations, policies and procedures. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-15: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service) obtained in either the private or public sector: planning, directing, or managing a government procurement or business support programs through process or program improvements, marketing and outreach, collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, evaluating and monitoring program performance, and overseeing compliance. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
