Robert Half Help Desk Analyst in Washington, District Of Columbia

Description We are offering a Help Desk Analyst I role in the professional services industry, located in Washington, District of Columbia. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing on-site technical support, with proficiency in MS O365, Active Directory and general IT troubleshooting. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site technical support to users, addressing their queries and resolving issues efficiently

• Demonstrate proficiency in using MS O365 for various IT-related tasks and projects

• Utilize Active Directory to manage user accounts, including creating, managing, and deleting user accounts as necessary

• Conduct general IT troubleshooting to identify, analyze, and resolve system errors and faults

• Collaborate with the IT team to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes

• Interact with network services, software systems engineering, and applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problems

• Simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties

• Recommend system modifications to reduce user problems

• Maintain currency and high level of technical skill in field of expertise. Requirements • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Proficient in the use of Active Directory.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Help Desk Analyst role or similar.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.

• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical users.

• Must have a strong customer service orientation with the ability to prioritize tasks.

• Knowledge of ITIL practices would be an advantage.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.

• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.

• Must be open to working in shifts if required.
