Position Overview:

As a Senior Project Manager, you will provide comprehensive project management, research, and operational support to the president of the division. This pivotal role involves spearheading critical projects for the leadership team of the nation’s top business association, while also enhancing the office's structure and efficiency. Beyond this, the strength of this role is harnessed by the network constructed by the individual in this position.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional project management and analytical skills, coupled with a deep understanding of the policy landscape. Making things happen and keeping projects moving while identifying current and future roadblocks will ensure the long-term success of the division. Responsibilities:

  • Lead the management of a diverse range of high-level projects.

  • Stay abreast of political and policy developments relevant to the business community, identifying emerging opportunities for the office.

  • Drive the launch of new initiatives by developing project outlines, agendas, programs, and coordinating events.

  • Help wireframe ideas and build presentations and marketing materials to go to market.

  • Develop the proper go-to-market strategy for several cross-vertical projects.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve key priorities.

  • Oversee critical cross-divisional projects, coordinating logistics, materials, and follow-up.

  • Conduct research and manage the information flow at the request of the president of the division.

  • Conduct research and draft briefing papers, reports, and other materials.

  • Undertake administrative tasks as necessary.

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10+ years’ experience in a high-level government relations office, C-suite, or similar setting.

  • Expert project management skills, preferably with a PMP certification.

  • A demonstrated strategic mindset with outstanding organizational and analytical skills.

  • Proven ability to take the initiative and provide solutions in a dynamic environment.

  • Reliable, detail oriented, and action focused.

  • Strong and concise writing skills to guide frame working of ideas.

  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effective communication and diplomacy skills for interactions with senior executives and staff.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of current events, politics, and economic trends.

  • Discretion in handling confidential information and exercising sound judgment.

  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, proofreading, and editing skills.
