Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Financial Analyst in the non-profit sector, located in Washington, District of Columbia. As a Sr. Financial Analyst, you will be instrumental in budgeting and financial planning and analysis (FP& A). Your role will revolve around maintaining accurate records, resolving inquiries, and implementing zero-based budgeting.
Responsibilities
• Perform financial analysis to support organizational decision-making
• Implement and manage zero-based budgeting to optimize resource allocation
• Develop financial models to forecast future financial scenarios
• Conduct budgeting and forecasting to guide financial planning
• Utilize your skills in non-profit accounting to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Monitor and take action on various financial accounts as necessary
• Process and maintain accurate records of financial transactions
• Address and resolve financial inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial analysis role
• Proficient in financial analysis and interpretation of financial data
• Demonstrated experience in budgeting and forecasting
• Strong skills in financial modeling and ability to create complex financial models
• Experience in non-profit accounting is required
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Possess strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
