About the Position:

The Sr. HR Generalist will play a key role within the team. They will manage all day-to-day HR operations alongside the HR Coordinator, escalating higher/more complex matters to the head of the department for support, questions, removing blockers and advice. This role requires a high level of professionalism, work ethic, problem solving and integrity.

Using your HR knowledge, research skills, communication skills and project management acumen, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the operational direction of the administrative function, helping us develop and refine processes, procedures and goals to take us to a new level. This role requires experience in HR operations, government contracting compliance, benefits administration, employee onboarding, performance management, learning and development and technology oversight. The details below represent the general scope of the work you can expect to perform. It is not intended to be comprehensive.

Compliance:

  • Lead the maintenance of Office of Federal Contracts Compliance Program (OFCCP), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and general compliance change management efforts
  • Lead the process for compiling OFCCP, EEO-1, and VETS 4212 reporting
  • Conduct quarterly AAP analysis to ensure adherence to goal progress
  • Ensure strict adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, particularly those applicable to Washington, DC

HR Operations:

  • Run the full spectrum of day-to-day HR operations, escalating issues when necessary
  • Participate in functional evaluations and contribute to the improvement of HR and Admin operations
  • Contribute to planning, developing, and implementing policies, processes,trainingand projectsto ensure HR compliance and meet the organization's functional needs aligned with strategic goals
  • Research, write and communicate additions or edits to policies and procedures
  • Lead the process for drafting and/or updating HR Operations SOPs as needed
  • Work collaboratively with HR Coordinator to ensure all tasks and projects are completed on time and items do not fall through the cracks

Benefits Administration:

  • Coordinate the benefits renewal process
  • Manage the employe information upload of new plans into ADP
  • Educate employees on companywide benefits andperks
  • Correspond with ADP Co-Employment partners,Providersand other benefits contacts to ensure questions are answered and problems resolvedin a timely manner

Performance Management:

  • Monitor the performance management processes, ensuringtimelycompletion of performance reviews
  • Maintain performance-related records andassistinidentifyingopportunities for improvement

Learning and Development:

  • Collaborate with department managers to coordinate training programs
  • Manage annual compliance training efforts
  • Track employee participation in training initiatives andmaintainlearning records

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience?
  • HR Certificationcompleted(or in progress)required
  • 4-6 years of direct HR experiencerequired
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience within a Government Contracting companyrequired
  • Computerproficiencyin MS Office Applications (e.g.Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, SharePoint, Visio, Outlook), internet, social media
  • Working knowledge of HRIS and ATS systemsrequired(e.g.ADP, Applicant Pro)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and project coordination skills?
  • Project management experience and leadership

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary range: $76,000-$94,000 annual base salary
  • Benefits include medical/dental/vision coverage, company sponsored Life and Disability insurance, 401k, paid vacation/sick/holidays, and more. Managerial: N
