Office of Administration Travel Help Desk Administrator in Washington, District Of Columbia

Summary This position is located in the Executive Office of the President, Office of Administration (OA), Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Travel and Events Division (TED). The incumbent administers the Concur CGE (Concur Government Edition) self-service travel system for the EOP. Coordinates and provides Concur training and identifies creative solutions to customer needs. Promotion to the next highest grade level is neither guaranteed nor implied. Responsibilities As a Travel Help Desk Administrator, GS-0501-7, your typical work assignments may include the following: Serves as the EOP help desk administrator of the Concur self-service travel system. Provides assistance with managing the travel services help desk customer support phone line and e-mail account. Responds to customer inquiries pertaining to Concur and other travel issues. Provides training to new users and approving officials on the Concur travel module. Assists with maintaining lines of accounting and assigns these lines to correct EOP component activities. Recommends revisions to the travel system, current policies, and procedures to promote increased utilization of the travel system. Assists with developing and implementing the travel services help desk processes and procedures. Coordinates and tracks customer inquiries for dashboard reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. Updates and maintains routing lists used to flow documents to the appropriate approving official. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS: All applicants must meet the qualification requirements outlined below to be considered minimally qualified for this position. The qualification requirements are in accordance with the Office of Personnel Management Qualification Standards. TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level or pay band in Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility comparable to the next lower grade or comparable pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector. ALL QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE MET BY THE CLOSING DATE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. You may qualify at the GS-7 level, if you meet the following minimum qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector which includes: 1-Familiarity of a travel system such as Concur or DTS and 2-Understanding of Federal travel, travel systems, policies and practices and related regulations and procedural guidelines as promulgated by the Department of Treasury, General Accounting Office, General Services Administration, and Department of State. OR 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement. OR A combination of experience and education. (Combinations of successfully completed education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements as specified above. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grades GS-7.) Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education There is no education substitution for this position.
