Employment and Training Administration Website Content Specialist in Washington, District Of Columbia

Summary This position serves as a Web Content Specialist located in the Technical Assistance Unit (TAU), Division of National Programs, Tools, and Technical Assistance, Office of Workforce Investment, Education, Training, and Administration (ETA). ETA's Technical Assistance Unit (TAU) is responsible for overseeing the management and efficient operation of ETA's online technical assistance website, WorkforceGPS.org. Position is in the bargaining unit. Responsibilities As a Website Content Specialist, your duties will include (but are not limited to) the following: Works with customers to understand their needs and priorities. Solicits customer feedback to develop beneficial processes. Analyzes customer experience data to support leadership decision-making. Works with ETA program offices to assess their needs for virtual (web-based) technical assistance tools and/or website capabilities. Tracks and analyzes key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of content initiatives and inform decision-making. Assists with work involved in the Agency's website instructional design projects and coordinates and collaborates with internal/external stakeholders. Evaluates a range of qualitative and quantitative metrics to inform iterative development and strategy decisions. Manages the day-to-day operation of identified website(s). Monitors website performance metrics to enhance user experience and achieve strategic goals. Develops, refines, and enhances web site services that expand information dissemination. Works with agency partners, ETA program offices, and contractors to refine functional requirements and translate functional requirements into user stories and technical specifications. Works with program offices and contractors to identify potential system updates, refinements, and/or add-ons to address identified needs and advance to the usefulness (value) to the public workforce system. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You must meet the Specialized Experience to qualify for the Website Content Specialist, GS-301-13, as described below. Applicants must possess 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the next lower grade level or GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Qualifying Specialized Experience for GS-13 includes ALL of the following 3 items: Conducting website content training, and Reviewing website postings to ensure compliance, and Testing websites to ensure a quality user experience. Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement. Additional Information This position is inside the bargaining unit. If the duty location is within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, the position will be included in the Local 12, AFGE bargaining unit. If the duty location is outside the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, the position will be included in the NCFLL bargaining unit.
