Responsibilities You will provide security testing support to include guiding the execution of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and security scanning for projects and systems throughout its life cycle phases. You will support activities necessary to obtain proper authorization and follow-on continuous monitoring for all projects and systems through all life cycle phases. You will support Security Testing and Evaluations to assess information system changes and security impact. You will create Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) reports to meet information assurance/cybersecurity reporting requirements. You will apply Risk Management Framework (RMF) policies and procedures to obtain/maintain proper authorization for projects and systems. You will Develop and maintain Assessment and Authorization project plans to support system accreditation. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning, analyzing, developing, implementing, maintaining, and enhancing information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools; ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of assigned systems. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. Education Additional Information This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 612 Security Control Assessor, proficiency level Intermediate the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies. This position is in the Personnel Demonstration Project under authority of Title VII of the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978. The pay schedule and pay band for all Demonstration Project Professional Positions will be DP-1/2/3/4. This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
