NOW HIRING Mechanical Maintenance Techs in WASHIGNTON, PA
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment including rolling mills, annealing furnaces, slitters, conveyors, and mechanical components.
Perform maintenance on cranes, forklifts, and other mobile equipment.
Learn quickly about our manufacturing equipment/systems and maintenance program.
Troubleshoot issues, determine corrective actions, and identify opportunities to enhance production efficiencies without compromising quality.
Follow all safety practices and rules to ensure equipment operates safely.
Perform preventive, predictive, and emergency electrical maintenance on various electrical and electronic systems.
Conduct other maintenance work such as installing piping, welding, rigging, carpentry work, and miscellaneous repairs on floors, ceilings, windows/glass, doors, etc.
Implement process improvements and methods to increase effectiveness and efficiencies.
Use standard and specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to properly assess and troubleshoot issues.
Maintain accurate records of projects including machine assembly, startup, and installation.
Participate in daily meetings, prioritize, and review the daily schedule of work.
Operate forklifts, man lifts, cranes, etc.
Provide assistance in operating various functions/areas within the plant.
Essential Skills
2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
Experience working with motors, controls, power supplies, and AC/DC theory.
Experience with power distribution, VFDs, and PLCs.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to perform preventive and emergency maintenance.
Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
Work Environment
The work environment is industrial and involves performing a variety of steel manufacturing procedures. Our facility includes one of the world's most powerful mills and specializes in hot rolling and processing.
