Description:
A client of TEKsystems is looking for a UX Consultant to join their team on a part time basis for 8 weeks. This position does have the chance to extend further past the initial 8 week stint. Looking for candidates who are local to the Watertown Massachusetts are who could work onsite 3 days a week with other local resources.
The UX Contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Participation in Meetings
• Attend and actively participate in project meetings, including discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and design workshops.
• Collaborate with project teams to gather and clarify project requirements and user needs.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on UX best practices and project goals.
- Understanding Project Needs
• Conduct thorough research to understand the project’s target audience, business objectives, and user requirements.
• Review existing documentation, user feedback, and competitive analysis to inform design decisions.
- Wireframes
• Develop wireframes to outline the structure and layout of key user interfaces.
• Ensure wireframes are clear, functional, and aligned with project requirements and user needs.
- High-fidelity Mock-ups
• Create high-fidelity mock-ups that reflect the final design and visual style of the user interface.
• Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and iterative testing to refine and enhance the designs.
• Ensure that mock-ups are ready for handoff to the development team with detailed specifications.
- Deliverables
• Wireframes: Detailed wireframes for key screens and workflows, delivered in an agreed-upon format.
• High-Fidelity Mock-ups: Finalized high-fidelity mock-ups that meet the project’s design standards and requirements.
• Documentation: Design documentation including design rationale, user flows, and any relevant notes or annotations.
- Timeline
• The UX Contractor is expected to complete the discovery phase within 4 weeks (20h per week) from the project start date.
• Specific milestones and deadlines will be outlined in the project schedule.
- Responsibilities
• UX Contractor: Responsible for delivering high-quality wireframes and mock-ups, participating in meetings, and providing design insights.
• Project Team: Provide necessary access to project information, feedback on deliverables, and support in scheduling meetings.
- Communication
• Regular updates and progress reports should be provided to the project manager and relevant stakeholders.
• Key deliverables will be reviewed and approved through scheduled review sessions.
- Acceptance Criteria
• Wireframes and mock-ups must meet project specifications and user requirements.
• Deliverables should be approved by stakeholders before final submission.
