Job Title: Maintenance Engineer/Assembler
Job Description
We are seeking three dedicated Maintenance Engineers/Assemblers to join our team. In this role, you will assemble parts for machinery varying in size from as small as a table to as large as a house. You will use hand and power tools to mount motors, valves, shafts, elevators, and more. Additionally, you may be taught to paint and will need to read blueprints and bills of materials to retrieve parts. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and grow within a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
Assemble parts for machinery of various sizes.
Use hand and power tools to mount motors, valves, shafts, elevators, etc.
Potentially perform painting tasks once trained.
Read and interpret blueprints and bills of materials.
Learn to cut and thread piping.
Operate machines such as shear machines, pipe threaders, band saws, and tack welders.
Bring own basic hand and power tools to work.
Work in teams with 2-3 experienced assemblers, who will perform skilled tasks daily.
Essential Skills
Ability to read blueprints.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch.
Mechanical inclination through work experience or schooling.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in mechanical assembly, welding, or pipe threading.
Knowledge of blueprint reading and mechanical assembly processes.

Work Environment
You will be working in an assembly-style shop that is quiet and free from robotics, as each piece of machinery is custom-built one at a time. Our Client assembles thermal processing equipment for manufacturing industries but does not perform heat treating themselves. The work environment is clean, with a job shop atmosphere. This is a drug-free workplace, and testing is required upon hire. Work hours are from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with potential for overtime if required (40-50 hours a week).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waterville, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
