Key Accountabilities\ Function Management Responsible for daily coordination of electrical and mechanical maintenance operations and rectification of faults at the production facilities. Responsible for the shutdown of entire parts of the plant in order to carry out more extensive repairs or maintenance work (requires the involvement and approval of the Production Manager). Inspect completed work ensuring that repairs have been completed correctly and that production machinery and equipment conform to specifications and safety standards. Monitor the condition of maintenance equipment, materials, parts, and tools that are used by maintenance workers in their day-to-day activities. Daily checking and evaluation of the machine logs for limit value deviations. Creation and implementation of the shift plan for Shift Supervisors and helping staff.\ \ Quality, Safety, Health and Environment\ Responsible for the application and compliance with safety and fire safety measures during maintenance work. Inspect work areas on a continuous basis for possible problems or unusual conditions in the production facilities. Report deficiencies to the Department Managers. Proper handling of environmentally hazardous substances. Perform work duties in accordance with Omya Quality Systems Manual procedures.\ \ People Management\ Prioritise and assign tasks so that the teams resources are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met. Joint responsibility for the safety of subordinate employees ensuring compliance with the relevant working conditions and working time regulations. Joint responsibility for education and training of the subordinate employees in organizations operating procedures and standards. Coach and mentor maintenance staff and assist them to diagnose more complex problems with machinery or equipment problems.
