Senior Project Engineer - Rapid Electronics Prototyping

Your Role on Our Team

As the Sr Project Engineer , you will help Milwaukee Tool deliver prototype PCB assemblies with best-in-class quality and extremely rapid turn times. You will be responsible for managing multiple moderate to highly complex engineering and operations projects with minimal direction. Individuals in this position will provide project management and necessary technical direction to assure successful and timely implementation of projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction, guidance, and industry expertise to team members. Review work of engineers and other project team members.

  • Work closely with PCB Design team to provide immediate DFM feedback.

  • Optimize and maintain multiple short cycle project schedules to drive target project cycle time.

  • Communicate potential and active manufacturing and sourcing issues to engineering teams.

  • Facilitate technical questions between the manufacturing and engineering teams.

  • Prioritize and communicate escalated projects with minimal disturbances.

  • Evaluate the best sourcing path for materials to meet project timelines.

  • Monitor and communicate supply chain disruptions.

  • Communicate “best practice” manufacturing feedback to NPD teams.

  • Formal supervisory responsibilities to oversee day-to-day activities of project team members.

What TOOLS you’ll bring with you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or other related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Self-Starter with ability to develop action plans to achieve goals.

  • Excellent organization and decision-making skills.

The Other Tools We’d Like to See:

  • Strong computer skills, experience using an ERP or MRP system.

  • Knowledge of Electronic Assembly processes and equipment.

  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Comfortable working in an environment that frequently experiences routine and rapid changes.

  • Experience working in a product development environment.
