In this role, you will:
Prepare and review financial analysis of legal entity profit and loss, balance sheet, and income statement activity in accordance with applicable policy and regulations. Ensure data accuracy. Identify and research critical variances, documents and communicates findings, and resolve any issues needing remediation. Assist in the preparation, review, and communication of monthly financial results to management.
Manage all accounting responsibilities for assigned legal entities, divisions, and/or functional areas. Review and approve the work of team members, including journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations, to ensure the proper recording of financial activities in accordance with accounting and reporting standards, statutory reporting requirements and corporate policies. Provide financial expertise and leadership in coordinating and managing the financial closing process. Serve as escalation point of contact for the department. Share knowledge and assist colleagues with problem resolution.
Identify risk for assigned areas. Maintain key effective internal controls that support accurate accounting and financial and regulatory reporting. Manage process documentation and associated risk assessments.
Ensure accurate recording of financial positions. Prepare and communicate monthly financial results and internal controls summary to senior management.
Develop and maintain a robust knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP).
Support the annual audit process by analyzing and preparing documents and information. Answer auditor inquiries.
Recommend the development and implementation of procedural changes to improve departmental efficiency and effectiveness. Update and maintain departmental procedures for financial reporting and accounting processes.
Build and develop strong working relationships with business stakeholders.
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
What it takes:
Minimum of five years related work experience in an accounting or financial reporting environment.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Finance or Accounting degree preferred. Graduate degree preferred.
CPA strongly preferred.
Proficiency in Oracle Cloud required.
