Who are you?

You are an outgoing person who enjoys helping others and is willing to drive results to make it happen. If this sounds like you, a career as a Personal Banker may be a great career fit for you. As a Personal Banker, your responsibilities would include putting our customers at the center of everything you do by assessing their needs, completing account openings, account transactions, and servicing/cash handling activities. This position will also assist with business development efforts and may assist with the opening of consumer loans and business accounts. You will be responsible for:

  • Engaging in relationship and business development efforts by connecting with customers, understanding and solving their deposit needs, enhancing their knowledge of C&N products and service solutions, and exploring additional ways to nurture and grow the relationship.

  • Performing lending functions for borrowers seeking financing for consumer loans.

  • Assisting with branch operations and teller functions by efficiently maintaining accurate teller functions, balancing, and executing other transactions for customers as needed.

Requirements:

Education & Experience – You will need a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) AND 2-4 years of previous related experience in a customer service setting, preferably in a banking environment OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Recommended Certifications – NMLS (within 1 year of employment).

Skills – You should possess well-developed abilities and a proven track record in the following areas:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Proficiency in basic computer applications.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong understanding of financial products and services.
