Sr. FP&A Director, Digital Enablement

Job Overview

This key leadership role reports directly to the SVP, USCAN Finance & Operations and provides financial planning and analysis management and leadership to the Digital Enablement organization. Leads a team of three direct and indirect employees that provide business analysis including annual financial planning, budgeting, financial reporting, and forecasting. Partners with the business, acting as a consultant on financial matters to the Digital Enablement organization.

Essential Functions

  • Partners with regional senior management, advising and developing regional functional strategies that support regional strategies and goals.

  • Ensures that the recording, measurement and reporting of all financial transactions adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), internal IQVIA corporate policies and procedures, government regulations and local business/functional requirements.

  • Develops business measurement metrics taking financial information and producing financial measurement reports to drive the business both strategically and directionally.

  • This includes the timely collection and consolidation of financial data for internal and external reporting and managing the daily flow of information for operational and long-term strategic planning purposes.

  • Directs all aspects of planning and estimation processes related to annual budgeting and strategic plans as well as monthly forecasts.

  • Develops financial strategies, policies, procedures and analysis.

  • Provides monthly financial reporting to constituencies.

  • Ensures achievement of area/regional financial targets by monitoring spending, providing insight, and early warning systems to monitor growth and slippage.

  • Identifies and monitors areas of operational risk and/or opportunity.

  • Supports reporting and information flow for company communications to CFO, President, and the corporate team who are responsible for interfacing with the investment community.

  • Directs, develops and guides financial professionals, assisting them in becoming better strategic advisors and business partners.

  • With functional/business heads and regional CFO, builds a cohesive team of financial professionals dedicated to on-going improvement of functional/business and financial improvements.

Minimum Education, Experience & Specialized Knowledge required

  • Minimum eight years of progressively responsible experience in business analysis, accounting and finance.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting or Financial Management. Graduate degree preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP

  • Technical proficiency with financial application software is essential.

  • CPA - Certified Public Accountant CPA or other professional financial certification is a benefit

  • Strong financial analysis capabilities: ability to interpret financial reports and data to understand business performance and identify trends, risks and opportunities.

  • Demonstrated experience in project management; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong verbal and written communication/presentation skills: comfortable interacting and communicating with executive and senior management levels

  • Solid interpersonal skills: demonstrated ability to develop strong, cross-functional relationships with business partners, direct reports and peers

  • Demonstrated leadership skills: ability to align team to goals and deliver results

  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently

  • Exceptional multi-tasking capabilities: professionally handles the pressure of meeting multiple, high-priority deadlines

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $156,900.00 - $267,200.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
