Job Description
As a Lab Technician within the Advanced Additives group, you will be joining a state-of-the-art battery development laboratory at our Webster Groves facility. This position is responsible for assisting R&D chemists and engineers in preparation, development and analysis of battery materials for the lithium ion market.
I’m interested! What will I get to do in this position?
Prepare cathode active materials for coating on electrode (aluminum foil)
Characterization of battery materials by physical and chemical testing
Preparation and assembly of batteries such as coin cells
Testing and analysis of LFP based coin cells
Assisting chemists in preparing new cathode materials
What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
High School degree required
Associates degree preferred
Enthusiastic colleague
Detail oriented
Good manual dexterity for working with glove box and assembly work
Mechanically inclined and ability to lift 25 lbs
Can operate and maintain applicable analytical instrumentation
Excellent technical writing and oral presentation skills
Be safety-oriented and proactive in safety and environmental practices in the lab
Superior inter-personal skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to adapt and multitask in a dynamic environment

Salary Range: $36,000 - $54,000
Annual Bonus Target: 3%, subject to plan provisions.
