Job Description Summary
The Lead Process Engineer will be responsible for the design, operation, and implementation of wire EDM and bandsaw processes for additive hardware as well as design and creation of fixturing/tooling for all post processing of additive hardware. In this role you will successfully industrialize processes to improve efficiency, reduce cost, reduce cycle time, and enable additive complexity. You will engage in cross-functional teams consisting of manufacturing, design, and materials to develop and industrialize additive hardware.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and introduce wire EDM programs into production
Design, manufacture, and industrialize fixtures and tooling for development and high-rate production of additive hardware
Develop, configure, and optimize industrial processes from inception through start up and certification
Assess processes, take measurements, interpret data, and document results
Effectively communicate project outcomes to senior leadership
Lead projects intended to design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes
Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve technology and processes related to additive post processing. Specifically, processes related to wire EDM, bandsaw, and fixturing/tooling
Act in a supporting role for all other post processing operations.
Develop and audit process specific work instructions, SOPs, and PM plans
Perform risk assessments and implement abatements
Participate in and lead problem solving efforts
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in manufacturing or design engineering)
Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing or design engineering experience

Formal training or 3+ years of experience with GD&T
Knowledge of process related standards of GE Aerospace
