Job Description Summary

This role plays a pivotal role in managing financial processes related to Revenue Sharing Partners (RSPs), supporting the CMS Controllership organization. Responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis. The person will lead projects to automate and onboard new RSP contracts in our financial processes, as knowledge of best practices how own area integrates with others, and is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.

Job Description

  • Controller for RSP Accounting: Responsible for overseeing accounting processes related to Revenue Sharing Partners (RSPs).

  • Initiate Payments to Revenue Sharing Partners: Facilitate timely and accurate payments to RSPs based on contractual agreements.

  • Reconciling RSP Balances: Regularly reconcile RSP accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.

  • RSP-Related Manual Journal Entries: Record necessary accounting entries related to RSP transactions.

  • Partnering with RSPs: Collaborate closely and communicate with the external RSPs to address financial queries and provide support.

  • Point of Contact for RSP within CMS Controllership: Serve as the primary contact for RSP-related matters within the Controllership team.

  • Leading Automation Efforts to Enhance Quality and Control: Drive initiatives to automate processes, improve efficiency, and maintain high-quality standards.

  • Reviewing and Testing Existing Desktop Procedures: Evaluate existing procedures, identify areas for enhancement, and ensure compliance with policies and standards.

  • Responsible for general accounting and policy application & process administration for all cycles including inventory, cost recognition, receivables/payables, and intercompany. Understand and interpret applicable Enterprise Standards, SOP and Process Maps to deliver globally competitive financial process/accounting services.

  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy. Basic knowledge of related job disciplines.

  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

  • Jobs at this level function with some autonomy but are subject to functional practices and precedents or are covered by well-defined policies or review of end results. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

  • Uses some judgment and has the ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems. Has ability to prioritize information for data analysis. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

  • CPA preferred
