Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Business Systems Analyst/Risk Derivatives in WEST DES MOINES, Iowa, United States. This role entails gathering and documenting technical and business requirements for our Risk Derivatives Reporting, Analytics, and associated Data Warehouse. You will be working alongside both business and IT stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of data warehouse solutions and reporting.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborating with the Risk Derivative teams to gather and document business requirements for reporting and analytics needs, including the creation of wireframes and data modeling.
• Partnering with data analysts from the Data Warehouse to model data in consumption layers to meet reporting and analytical needs effectively.
• Converting business requirements into technical specifications for better understanding and implementation.
• Conducting rigorous data analysis and validation to ensure the accuracy and relevance of data.
• Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation of processes, systems, and changes.
• Facilitating meetings and workshops, asking probing questions to uncover underlying requirements that may not be immediately apparent.
• Troubleshooting and providing support for reporting and data warehouse issues.
• Utilizing skills like Atlassian Jira, Business systems, Agile Scrum, Backlog Grooming, Business Process Functions, Business Requirement Document, Derivatives, and Risk Analysis.
• Applying knowledge in Equity Derivatives, Data Warehousing, Financial Services, Derivatives Trading, IT Risk Management, Market Risk Management, Swaps, Futures, and Future Trends.
• Leveraging proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools to optimize business operations. Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, specifically within the field of Risk Derivatives.
• Proficiency in using Atlassian Jira.
• Demonstrable experience with Business Systems.
• Knowledge and experience with Agile Scrum methodology.
• Proven skills in Backlog Grooming.
• Familiarity with Business Process Functions.
• Experience in creating Business Requirement Documents.
• Understanding of Derivatives and Risk Analysis.
• Experience with Equity Derivatives.
• Proficiency in Data Warehousing.
• Previous experience in the Financial Services sector.
• Understanding and experience with Derivatives Trading.
• Knowledge of IT Risk Management.
• Experience in Market Risk Management.
• Familiarity with Swaps and Futures.
• Ability to foresee and interpret Future Trends within the industry.
