Manager, Network Management (LTSS Networks)

Preferred Location: Iowa. This position is hybrid and will require the associate to report to the West Des Moines, Iowa office locations at least 1-2 times per week. The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations within the state of Iowa.

The Manager, Network Management (LTSS Networks) will spearhead the LTSS (Long-Term Support Services) provider network team, steering key initiatives to drive excellence in provider relations and service delivery. This pivotal role requires an individual with an intricate understanding of Iowa's LTSS providers and programs, focused on cultivating robust partnerships that align with organizational goals and enhance network performance. This leader will strategize and implement action plans for provider relations and servicing, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, optimizing provider resources, and fostering enduring relationships to enhance care quality and financial outcomes across the network. Manages LTSS provider network servicing associates within a specialized LTSS provider network team, focusing on sustaining effective provider representative and specialty roles in the LTSS domain.

How will you make an impact:

  • Develops and implements strategic action plans for all aspects of LTSS provider network servicing, ensuring high-quality care delivery.

  • Leads and manages LTSS provider relations processes and strategies, balancing budgetary constraints while optimizing provider service delivery.

  • Establishes and nurtures positive, long-term relationships with state entities, key provider groups, and LTSS/HCBS providers to promote provider retention and enhance performance metrics.

  • Supports LTSS network development strategies in collaboration with the local LTSS strategy leadership and enterprise LTSS center of excellence management.

  • Manages operations, ensuring accurate establishment and maintenance of provider data, and reviews performance reports to guide strategic improvements.

  • Directly participates in state meetings and maintains active communication with key providers and provider associations, ensuring compliance with provider relations mandates.

  • Engages in setting and tracking team key performance indicators (KPIs) and strategic goals in alignment with organizational standards.

  • Works collaboratively with local and enterprise teams on various operational aspects, including provider call center management, communication strategies, and disputed resolutions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years equivalent work experience in provider contracting; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences :

  • Extensive experience in provider contract interpretations is strongly preferred.

  • Strong preference for candidates with experience in leading and managing teams.

  • Experience interfacing and partnering across all lines of businesses.

  • LTSS Provider experience strongly preferred.

  • Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.

  • Proficiency in Excel at an intermediate to advanced level is preferred.
