What you will do

In this vital role you will The Project Controls Senior Manager will be responsible for developing project funding documents, including budget, schedule and change management information, cost and schedule risk analysis, cash flow analysis, and historical cost data for bench marking purposes. In addition, they will review and analyze contractor cost estimates, bids, change orders, invoices, labor rates, physical engineering/construction schedules and progress. The Project Controls Senior Manager will be responsible for budgeting, tracking, and controlling Amgen schedule and costs as well as the engineer/contractor cost.
Developing project funding information including estimates, risk analysis, cash flow analysis and data for benchmarking
Reviewing and analyzing cost estimates, bids, change orders, invoices, and progress measures, from engineers/contractors
Budgeting, tracking, and controlling Amgen costs as well as engineer/contractor costs.
Supporting Front End Planning efforts during project assignment
Assisting Project Controls Director in developing project strategies and associated financing
Developing and managing project cash flows
Providing Front End Planning content including scope definition, estimate development and schedule analysis.
Leading the preparation of Amgen project funding documentation
Leading risk analysis reviews for cost estimates and forecasts.
Developing strategies, negotiating pricing, and analyzing bids for contractor scopes of work
Reviewing, approving engineer/contractor buy outs, change orders and invoices.
Working with procurement to develop contract documents and incentives.
Evaluating progress and forecasts for remaining work
Working with Amgen Buying Centre and Accounts Payable to resolve invoice payment issues and queries.
Administrating the closeout of contracts and purchase orders.

Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Engineering and capital projects delivery experience OR
Associate’s degree and 10 years of Engineering and capital projects delivery experience OR
Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Engineering and capital projects delivery experience OR
Master’s degree and 4 years of Engineering and capital projects delivery experience OR
Doctorate degree and 2 years of Engineering and capital projects delivery experience OR
Preferred Qualifications:
5 or more years of engineering or construction experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology/Engineering industry in project controls (Funding, Estimating, Cost Management, Scheduling, Contract Strategy)
2 years of experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and drive decision making across sites, functions & the network
Strong analytic and problem-solving ability
Excellent organizational and task management skills
Strong communication skills and ability to translate / communicate technical information to a variety of audiences
Ability to operate in a matrixed or team environment with site, functional, and executive leadership

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
