Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant to join our client's team in West Palm Beach, Florida. In this role, you will be tasked with financial reporting, account reconciliation, and overseeing both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. This role also involves interaction with clients and assisting with various other departmental needs.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and end-of-month reports
• Conduct General Ledger and Bank reconciliations in a timely manner
• Reconcile and post daily sales, alongside processing monthly statements
• Coordinate and reconcile billing and events in a Point of Sale (POS) system
• Collaborate with department heads to ensure accurate coding and posting of invoices
• Manage employee files and track employee benefits, vacation/sick time, and training milestones
• Process bi-weekly payroll through ADP and assist in tax reporting and filing
• Act as a point of contact, providing service as needed and assisting other department heads to ensure satisfaction
• Assist with annual audit and budget preparation, including assisting department heads with annual budget preparation
• Ensure that all departments are adhering to federal, state, and local laws.
Requirements
• Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Sr. Accountant role or similar
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
• Demonstrated skills in General Ledger management and Journal Entries
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with Month End Close processes
• Experience with POS - Point of Sale systems
• Knowledge in Jonas Club Software is required
• Familiarity with Billing Functions
• Experience with ADP - Payroll or similar payroll systems
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
