The Senior Facilities Technician for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for performing all routine maintenance and repairs within the facility, responding to Facilities work requests, and emergency calls, and performing & coordinating other preventive maintenance activities as requested to help ensure that our internal customers are taken care of, and other Facility related systems continue to operate reliably and efficiently.
This position is part of the Microbiology Operating Company located in West Sacramento and will be on-site. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
You will be a part of the Facilities Maintenance Team and report to the Sr. Manager of Engineering, Maintenance & Facilities responsible for conducting facility inspections and equipment condition assessments to determine necessary modifications, including repair work and replacements/capital improvements. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
· Responsibilities include maintenance of building/facility grounds and infrastructure (structural, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, compressed air, etc.). Participate in and perform emergency and non-emergency repairs, site generated work requests for preventive maintenance tasks, work requests generated by associates, and routine building operational/safety inspections.
Participate in vendor/service provider visits to conduct facility equipment/HVAC/utility inspections and support the vendor with the execution of scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.
Participate in and perform a multitude of tasks including (but not limited to) preventative maintenance tasks, troubleshooting/repairs, opening/closing work requests, completing work order required documentation, completing required training, participating in Kaizen events/initiatives, and completing all assigned work requests on time.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Associates degree in a related field or applicable technician licenses or equivalent experience.
3+ years of successful experience working as a Facilities Technician.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Chilled water systems and boiler systems.
Manufacturing/Production environment and/or other FDA-regulated industry.
Welding and metal fabrication.
The hourly range for this role is $36 - $38 per hour. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
