We have an immediate opening for a Full Time Clerical Assistant in our
Municipal Reimbursement Program office located in West Springfield. This
position provides clerical support in the facilitation of the LPVEC
Municipal Reimbursement Program. You must be able to work effectively as
part of a team to assist in the smooth operation of all aspects of the
program. Duties include but not limited to: Gather and maintain
up-to-date student eligibility, parent/guardian or caregiver approvals,
and attendance records. Assist in record keeping and report generation.
Work outside of regular office hours to meet billing deadlines. Prepare,
collect, and track data to continually maintain individual school files
for each year. Assist in re-grouping office filing system and maintain
said files. Organize, copy, sort, arrange, and distribute materials for
meetings or to parents/guardian, caregivers, staff, students, etc.
Assist the process of data collection and data entry requirements to
generate quarterly bills for each participating district as approved by
the Board. Perform general typing and word processing tasks. Assist the
Municipal Reimbursement Director in entering data, information, etc.
into spreadsheets. Perform daily filing (various) and copying to support
the Municipal Reimbursement Director. Collect and compile data to
support various program projects. Perform other duties as determined by
the Municipal Reimbursement Director. Job Requirements 1. Prior
secretarial/clerical experience required. 2. High School Diploma or
Equivalent 3. Computer literacy required; including databases, Microsoft
and Google Platforms with specific emphasis on MS Excel. 4. Must be
tenacious and patient, willing to perform laborious, repetitive tasks.
5. Sensitivity to confidential documents and privacy-related issues. 6.
Must be knowledgeable in the operation of various types of office
equipment. 7. Proficient organizational skills and flexible personality
necessary. Must have good attention to detail and have accurate
proofreading skills. 8. Ability to work flexible hours as workload
dictates. 9. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
