Description The Direct Support Professional/Caregiver works within the
Agen\'s team model, establishing open communication, support, and
accountability among co-workers. They provide a supportive residential
environment. They seek to provide an environment that encourages
consumers to grow and to live as independently as possible.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Supporting clients\' activities of daily living,
Administering medications as needed, Advocating for individuals\' within
various community settings, Providing opportunities to optimize their
independence Develop professional and supportive relationships with
clients and provide informal counseling and guidance with a
person-centered focus. REQUIREMENTS: Ideal candidate will have strong
interpersonal skills; empathy for others; demonstrated commitment to
serving those with significant needs; ability to work well within a team
model and independently. Computer skills necessary. Must have a vehicle
for work use and current driver\'s license; ability to complete
medication administration training. All candidates must complete and
pass background record screening process. Current First Aid, CPR and MAP
certification preferred Qualifications Skills Preferred CPR Certif,
Current - Expert First Aid Certif, Current - Expert Medication Admin,
Current - Expert Education Preferred High School or better. Equal
