Job Summary
The Business Systems Analyst, Master Data will lead and manage the technical data standards, policies and tools for the assigned sub-domain in order that required data quality levels are met and maintained.
Responsibilities:
* Maintains a high-level understanding of the data related business processes to manage the data tools used in that domain.
* Understands the applications upstream and downstream from the data source and how processes are impacted by the data.
* Serves as the data custodian accountable for configuration management, audit trail, backup and restore, technical standards, scalability, and data control.
* Owns the data model and ensures the accuracy of master data integrations.
* Understands the integration architecture of assigned domain and can provide trouble shooting assistance.
* Provides support for business teams by implementing tools to for standardization and practices that drive data quality.
* Engages with the data steward to ensure data quality reporting is aligned with business objectives and KPIs.
* Partners with enterprise architecture team to align data standards, policies and guidelines with future logical and physical data model directions.
* Coordinates the testing efforts of master data management initiatives.
* Owns the resolution of technical data issues and liaise with key stakeholders to prioritize the strategic objectives.
* Understands the master data requirements for projects involving master data across the enterprise.
* Serves as the application owner for master data applications in the assigned domain.
Requirements:
* Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Process Management or related degree or experience
* At least 3 years of combined experience in reporting, data management, process improvement with significant experience working with master data management platforms and integrations.
* Business Knowledge: Demonstrates strong knowledge of current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technology, and information related to the business and the organization.
* Communication: Demonstrates excellent listening and communication skills (written and verbal)
* Initiative: Works independently and is highly motivated to initiate and accept new challenges
* Judgment/Decision Making: Makes solid decisions based on a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment.
