Job Title: Machine Tool Electrician
Job Description
The machine tool electrician will be responsible for building and constructing electrical components for automation equipment such as robotic cells and conveyor systems. These cells will be built and tested in-house to then be shipped out to companies such as GM, Ford, and Stellantis.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and install electrical systems
Read blueprints/schematics provided by the engineering team
Build and wire electrical panels
Run conduit, tool cords, pull cables, perform robot work, and ethernet cabling
Ensure the cells and systems are functional and operating according to specifications
Essential Skills
5 years of machine tool electrician experience
Knowledge and experience in electrical assembly
Ability to read and interpret blueprints/schematics
Experience with assembly, mechanical, electrical, hand tools, automation, schematic reading, machine building, power tools, fabrication, automotive industry, wiring, troubleshooting, pulling wire, conduit bending, cable handling, and industrial environments
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must be able to provide their own hand tools
Must be able to run conduit, tool cords, pull cables, perform robot work, and ethernet cabling

The work environment is very clean and organized, with distinct areas for staging, electrical work, mechanical work, and shipping/receiving. The front of the building has a long hallway of offices, and the upper level houses the engineering department. The job operates on a 1st shift schedule from 6:00am to 3:30pm, sometimes extending to 4:30pm depending on workload.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Whitmore Lake, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
