Performs varied clerical and office work involving the exercise of some
independence in the conduct of standard duties for the support of
administrative, professional or technical employees.
Customer Service
- Distribute associated materials, set-up, and clean-up of training
rooms at various locations
- Assist with department recruitment efforts by distributing materials
and supplies at events
- Maintain the training and recruitment supply inventory; make
recommendations on ordering supplies
- Create and distribute training bulletin, maintain class rosters,
ensure training packets are completed, create certificates, and
update various training forms.
- Provide technology assistance to trainers as needed.
- Complete updates to training SharePoint site as requested.
- Exercise strong customer service skills through effective written
and verbal communication.
Data Maintenance
- Develop lists and spreadsheets, as well as enter information into
databases.
- Record and maintain data regarding the professional development team
activities and operations.
- Prepare, maintain, process, and distribute various reports, records,
spreadsheets, and other documents pertinent to the professional
development program operations
- Ensure all documentation developed is accurate and complete.
Clerical Tasks
- Compose and types correspondence for the Professional Development
area
- Compile, copy, and complete data for administrative and public
reports, questionnaires, and other documents
- Attend meetings, transcribe notes, and prepare agendas as needed.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Transcript
verifying education credits is required. One year of experience in
varied clerical and/or administrative work. Professional references are
required to verify the related work experience. Per Sedgwick County
Policy, this is a driving level position that requires a valid US
drivers license without restrictions and current automobile insurance.
Must have access to a personal passenger vehicle for transportation of
materials/individuals to complete the essential functions. Pass legal
background check, Child and Adult Abuse & Neglect Central Registry
checks, KCJIS Security Policy (fingerprint) check, and pre-employment
screen for alcohol and drugs. Must also meet the required conditions
contained in KSA 65-516 and KAR 28-4-356.
Preferred Qualifications: Three years of experience in varied
administrative work and within a professional development program.
