Summary of Responsibilities
The Wichita State University (WSU) Aerospace Engineering (AE) department
has one full-time Aerospace Engineering Educator position available. The
position is focused principally on teaching freshman and sophomore level
AE courses, but also include opportunities to teach higher-level classes
and to get involved in department research and service activities.\

Applicants must hold at least a masters degree in engineering or a
strongly related discipline. A degree in aerospace engineering or
notable aerospace industry/ research lab experience ispreferred. An
undergraduate degree in aerospace engineering arepreferred.

This role is required to teach assigned Aerospace Engineering courses,
participate in departmental service activities, and program
assessment/accreditation efforts, and where appropriate support related
laboratory or experiential student activities. Opportunities to teach
new or upper-level courses, mentor students, and to participate in
funded research projects in collaboration with other faculty also exist.
Minimum Education
MS degree in engineering or a strongly related discipline.
Minimum Experience
A demonstrated ability to teach, communicate effectively, and the
potential to contribute to college diversity isrequired.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Demonstrated ability to teach.
- Particular emphasis is placed on working with students.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Appropriate background and experience consistent with an engineering
educator level.
- Ability to work with a diverse community.
