Overview / Job Summary:\
As aBombardier Aviation Maintenance Instructor, they will have two
major components: Component 1 - teaching approved part 147 curriculum at
WSU Tech. Component 2 - on site management and education of Bombardier
apprentices. This position will follow Bombardiers work schedule.\
\
Your day-to-dayresponsibilitieswill vary, but are not limited to:\
- Creates and/or uploads an appropriate course syllabus for each
course to the Learning Management System.
- Keeps students informed and updated concerning course content,
requirements, evaluation procedures and attendance requirements.
- Develops, revises, and/or recommends curriculum changes which meet
the objectives of the course/program and improve student learning.
- Utilizes/creates course templates/masters.
- Evaluates students to measure their progress toward the achievement
of course outcomes / competencies.
Specific duties for Bombardier will be:
- Document all work completed.
- Approve Student logbooks.
- Approve student proficiency on ATA codes.
- Provide documentation to Bombardier training and quality
departments.
- Interface with team leaders to ensure apprentices are receiving all
necessary training.
- Maintain training lab on site at Bombardier.
- Control and Management of WSU Tech and Bombardier resources.

Education:
- Associate degree or higher,preferred.
Required/Preferred Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years full time (or full time equivalent) current
progressive work experience in aviation maintenancerequired.
- Extensive Bombardier Experience;preferred.
- Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic
Certificate,required.
- Extensive experience with the following preferred:
- FAA/FAR Part 147 requirements
- General Aviation Maintenance Experience
- Commercial Aviation Maintenance Experience
- Regional Aviation Maintenance Experience
- Quality Assurance/Acceptance Experience
- Previous formal teaching or training experience in adult
education;preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be available for required course assignments.
- Excellent verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills
must be able to work with students, technical and administrative
personnel in a pleasant, professional, and efficient manner.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
- Ability to use personal computer and software applications, strong
Microsoft Office skills.
