SUMMARY Under the supervision of the department manager, maintains the tool crib inventory in an orderly fashion. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned as required or needed Electronically establishes and maintains current tooling and fixturing locations Receives, stores, and issues tools, dies, parts, supplies, and equipment for the industrial establishment Responsible for the inventory level in the tool crib which includes filling out purchase orders as needed Ensures security of the tool room Checks out tools as needed to the machinists Stages jobs on staging shelf, per shop schedule provided by supervisor Maintains inventory of current jobs in shop and moves completed jobs to next department Informs programmer/supervisor of any changes needed to tooling/set up books, etc Use of forklift for moving heavy items Use of email system to communicate May blend and deburr parts as needed EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent. Familiar with Excel, Microsoft Word, Adobe and other like computer software. Knowledge of CNC tooling i.e end mills, drill bits, reamers, etc.. Ability to use precision measuring tools.
