Position Description
- Analyze and interpret construction blueprints, shop drawings and
specifications to determine carpentry requirements for the project.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior carpenters and
construction laborers on the team.
- Execute advanced carpentry tasks, including construction of complex
structural components, framing, and formwork.
- Adhere to project timelines and deadlines to ensure the timely
completion of tasks.
- Perform specialized finishing work, such as the installation of
custom cabinetry, trim, molding, and other decorative elements.
- Proficient at installing doors, hardware, and building specialties.
- Assist other craft team members as needed.
- Complete any other tasks assigned by your supervisor.

Position Requirements
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of and ability to follow OSHA and Hutton safety protocols.
- Self-driven to work productively in a team environment.
- Able to productively work in a team environment.
- Able to follow directions as specified.
- Able to do repetitive detailed work as needed.
- Able to work on school campus jobsites within proximity of children.
- Able to work out of town. (Out of town work is incentivized.)
- Able to get to and from work utilizing own transportation.
- Take precise measurements and perform complex layouts.
- Safely operate and demonstrate proficiency in the use of carpentry
tools and equipment, such as saws, nail guns, lasers, drills,
planers, sanders.
- Enforce quality to ensure that all carpentry work meets Hutton
standards.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational or
technical training in carpentry is preferred.
- Several years of practical experience in carpentry, with a proven
track record of successful project completion.
- Training opportunities will be available on the job to further
advance your skills.
Work Environment:
- You will work indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather
conditions.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to do the following with or without accommodations:
- Lift, push or pull materials weighing up to 80 lbs. (25 lbs.
consistently).
- Walk, bend, twist, turn, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb and squat in
cramped or awkward positions on a frequent basis.
- Climb to unlimited heights on ladders or scaffolds.
- Operate machinery that vibrates (drills, sanders, jackhammers,
etc.) on a repetitive basis.
- Perform tasks that require gross and fine hand motions and
coordination.
- Perform tasks that require clear and sharp vision.
