motorcoaches and plans unique travel packages that are marketed to more
than 27,000 households. In addition, Village offers traditional travel
agency services, a fleet of Entertainer Coaches, and operates daily
Beeline service. Most recently, we added Village Transport offering a
fleet of tractor/trailers. The Company began in 1980 and has since
expanded its regional footprint and continues to grow into one of the
largest full-service charter and tour operations in the Midwest with
offices in Wichita (KS), Salina (KS), Oklahoma City (OK), Tulsa (OK),
Springfield (MO), Fort Smith (AR), Springdale (AR) and Little Rock (AR).
We are in search of a Full Time Preventative Maintenance Mechanic to
maintain and repair our large fleet of motorcoaches and tractor/trailers
in Wichita, KS.
This position is for 3rd shift, 10pm - 7am, Mon-Fri. If a candidate
preferred 2nd Shift, 2pm - 11pm, that could be discussed as well.
Occasional weekends will be required for both shifts.

Summary:
The Preventative Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for using all
available resources to complete basic repairs and preventative
maintenance on all fleet vehicles in accordance with company practices
and standards. The PM Mechanic will consistently strive to learn new
skills and be a team player. Hours will need to be flexible based on the
vehicle departure schedule and overtime may be required.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Basic repair and preventative maintenance of HVAC, brake, electrical,
suspension, ADA, interior, engine, and aftertreatment systems with
minimal errors and appropriate supervision.\
Willing to learn DOT and CVSA requirements and regulations.\
Proficient in the use of maintenance software to complete all paperwork
in a timely and thorough manner.\
Proficient in the use of all necessary software and technology systems
used by the company that are pertinent to this position.\
Makes sounds decisions, prioritizes workflow, and pays attention to
details with appropriate supervision.\
Demonstrates safe and sensible work practices while maintaining a clean
and organized work environment throughout the shop.\
Provides and maintains all necessary tools and uses all company-provided
tools in a responsible manner.\
Consistently strives to learn new skills and solve problems.\
Willingly assists other mechanics, both in home market and in other
locations, sometimes requiring travel to other company facilities.\
Other duties as assigned by the Shop Foreman, General Manager, and
Director of Fleet Maintenance.\
Qualifications\
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.\
Basic understanding of maintenance and repair of motor vehicles.\
Participation in the companys DOT drug testing program.\
Preferred Qualifications:
Able to acquire and hold a Class A or B CDL with air brake and passenger
endorsements.\
Degree or certificate from an accredited technical school in automotive
or diesel repair.\
Physical Demands:
Able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.\
Stand, sit, squ t, and lay for extended periods.\
Able to perform duties in inclement weather as necessary.\
