Summary
To check refrigeration units under actual operation against performance
requirements
Principle duties:
This job requires Refrigeration inspection training. Read and understand
Operational Method sheets (OMS) job instructions. Sets refrigeration
units for operation and operates unit until stabilized and/or do
troubleshooting when problems arise. Sets up testing equipment as
necessary, and makes a variety of predetermined checks such as
compressor performance, high and low pressure cut outs, dry bulb
temperatures and static pressures. Checks and tests component parts and
subassemblies per OMS specifications. Makes out required reports and
tags, such as rejection tags and check off lists, determines causes for
and reports abnormal quality conditions.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration, extreme heat and
outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is
usually loud.
