About the role
The Wire Harness Assembly Technician (or termination technician) works
on the production floor, putting together a crucial and detailed part of
our product: the termination point, or where a cable ends. Youre turning
a bundle of wires and electrical pieces into a finely tuned, precisely
made cable (or set of cables) thats ready to use.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Full-cycle assembly of cables, including layout, soldering,
striping/crimping jacketed wire, insertion of wire into contacts,
tightening connector assemblies, torquing, taping, banding, and
using adhesive to prepare the cable for sealing.
- Perform all duties in accordance with Vermillion Quality Management
System and Safety standards, using situation-appropriate tools and
protective equipment
- Develop an understanding of the principles of continuity and
operation of test equipment
- Maintain a pristine and organized workbench
- Other duties as assigned
