Equipment Engineer - Takeda, Bray

How you will contribute:
Provide technical support to the Maintenance Team for corrective/breakdown
maintenance to help ensure downtimes are kept to an absolute minimum – lead issue resolution.
Lead main areas of process improvement projects to improve equipment availability and production efficiency – "continuous improvement programme".
Assist with project work connected with installation, validation, and commissioning of process equipment and automation control systems.
Assist with monitoring and control of process equipment with regard to maintaining a constant, safe and reliable operation.
Work with the Production Department to provide support during process investigations and CAPA implementation.
Maintain document control systems for the Equipment Engineering Group.
Ensure that new or modified equipment are designed for Reliability, Maintainability and Accessibility by providing design requirements to the Project Team and participate in reviews and risk assessments during the design process
Help develop PM plans, PM work instructions, spare parts lists and bills of materials.
As assigned, lead Root Cause Analysis of major equipment failures in the Plant and lead the Implement corrective and preventive actions
Embrace the culture of teamwork and integration within the Engineering Department, and most importantly with both Production and QA Departments.
Participate in any training initiatives, and promote the corporate values of Takeda-ism within the workplace
Adhere to safe working practices as set out in the Safety Statement and other safety instructions.

Ensure completion of all SOP, reading, training and assessment.
Other duties and directed by the relevant Manager or other Officer appointed by the Board of Directors.
Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise
Experience in Oral solid dose Drug Product manufacturing processes, control systems, cleaning processes, process and packaging equipment
Analyse and build resolutions to technical problems.
Good project management skills/prioritization.
Decision-making and Autonomy
- Must demonstrate effectiveness in decision-making, exception management and.
Interaction
- CAPEX Project Teams, Plant/Process Engineering, Maintenance, Calibration, Storeroom, EHS, Quality, Manufacturing/Production, Equipment Vendors, Automation
Complexity
- Must have good experience in problem analysis and resolution, experience analysing complex technical problems, and demonstrates good troubleshooting abilities
What you bring to Takeda:
Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline required. 3-5 years of related experience
Knowledge of pharmaceutical production equipment used in oral solid dose manufacturing a distinct advantage.
Work on your own on solutions including planning and organization, networked thinking, experience in project and preferably program management
Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is desirable.
Knowledge of asset management and data standards is desirable.
Understanding of process improvement and reliability engineering principles, methodologies and tools such as PDCA, LEAN, Six Sigma / DMAIC, FMEA is desirable
Familiarity with the use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is required with SAP being an advantage.
Must be a natural team player, with the management team.
