National Fuel is currently seeking a Field Engineer for an outstanding career opportunity in a two-year rotational program in the Companys primary Field Operations department throughout our Western New York Servicenters. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will complete unique rotations within the Operations department and could include rotations through Field Operations, Construction, New Services, Quality Assurance, Damage Prevention, Field Operations Development, and Mechanical, among others.
Responsibilities throughout rotations will include: Front-line direct field supervision of hourly construction and field service employees. Assistance in overall operation and maintenance of construction pipeline. Planning, scheduling, and inspection of work completed by employees. Regular contact with customers to resolve gas service issues and to ensure appropriate customer service levels. Ability to take active role in safety. Coordination of daily emergency response logistics.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or Engineering Technology (with a graduation date in 2024 or 2025). Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues. Ability to prioritize and multitask daily responsibilities. Comfortable interacting with others and communicating with supervisors, customers, and field personnel. Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capability along with the ability to quickly solve problems. Valid Drivers License with a clean driving record. Flexibility to cover rotating emergency assignments.
