AAA Mid Atlantic Analyst, Strategic Sourcing in Wilmington, Delaware

AAA is seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Strategic Sourcing Analyst to join the team. The purpose of this position is to leverage data analysis tools and techniques supporting all areas of Procurement and Inventory, including data consolidation, modeling and reporting on key performance indicators. This role will be a key resource tasked with implementing, optimizing and maintaining the Workday Strategic Sourcing module. The ideal candidate will have experience with Workday, Procurement and Inventory Management best practices and analytics.

The primary duties of the Strategic Sourcing Analyst are to:

  • Play primary role in Workday Strategic Sourcing module setup and maintenance

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure Workday SS module is configured and aligned with business requirements. Conduct system testing as required

  • Support process mapping and workflow design for new tools and processes

  • Responsible for extracting, building, refining and translating data and insights into consumable opportunities providing trends or patterns and identify solutions that meet long-term business objectives.

  • Assume responsibility for data integrity among various internal groups and/or between internal and external sources.

  • Solve complex business problems by formulating, developing, and interpreting statistical models and analysis. Leverage data mining and predicative modeling tools to provide actionable recommendations.

  • Ensure standardization of key analytics processes, design of analytical approaches, and development of tools which enable benefit identification, analysis and reporting supporting procurement and inventory.

  • Identify and oversee opportunities to collect and integrate data from disparate databases to drive business intelligence.

  • Utilize analysis to influence key stakeholders and drive the direction of key issues that impact procurement expenditure.

  • Manage vendor scorecards that will provide strategic direction that is consistent and informative.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration or a related field.

  • 5 + years related work experience and background in analytics

  • Workday Strategic Sourcing knowledge and experience highly desirable

  • Strong knowledge of and experience with databases (i.e. BI, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Ability to analyze complex situations and derive workable actions

  • Ability to work effectively within a fast changing environment, tight deadlines, priority changes and multiple constituencies

  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Support the creation of complex data analyses and provide recommendations to support decision making and achieve business goals and objectives.

  • Proficient skills required including advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Intranet or other Reporting software.

  • Strong written and communication skills to ensure effective interaction with all levels of management.

  • Command of analytic principles, practices, and tools to create and present data in various graphical formats.

  • Ability to effectively delegate and manage remotely and work effectively with cross-functional teams and regional/corporate support departments
